Why runners are switching from Nike to Wonderband for race day
We compared the headbands runners actually wear. The result is in Studio Red.
For a decade, the Nike Fury was the default running headband. Bandit Running brought it back into fashion. Lululemon's run line gave women a softer option. None of them were built for a full marathon.
Here's the issue: most running headbands rely on tension to stay put — which means they either grip too hard (headache by mile 8) or stretch out and start slipping (constant adjustment by mile 14). The Wonderband uses a continuous silicone interior that anchors to your hairline with friction instead. No pressure. No bounce. No mid-race adjusting.
Studio Red is the colorway runners pick for race day. It pops in finish-line photos, it shows up in golden hour, and it pairs cleanly with white singlets and black tights. It's the running headband that goes the full distance and looks intentional doing it.
From 5K to ultra, this is the headband runners finish in. Shop it in Studio Red.
